Acts 6

In Acts 6, as the number of Christ followers continued to grow, the people recognized practical needs needed to be better met. The disciples came together and prayed for the Lord's direction and appointed 7 men for the task of ensuring the needs of the people were met. Stephen was listed among the 7 and was described as being full of God's grace and power, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit. The Lord designed His body to be one body with many parts, each with different functions. We are to be united in the love of unity that comes with living fully surrendered to our Lord and Savior. We need to encourage each other in the gifts and talents the Lord has written within each of us. If we are willing to faithfully trust the Lord in every detail and for every outcome, He will lead us and walk with us every step of the way.
