Episode description

In 2 Samuel 21, David has been dealing with a famine for 3 years. He calls out to God for direction and God gives the wisdom needed to stop the famine. They had endured this suffering for 3 years. When we face suffering, we can rely on God. We can seek His wisdom and guidance, we can rely wholly on God, and we can depend on His righteousness and let Him refine us through it. David also recounts battles they had faced with giants. David did not battle alone. He had mighty men fighting alongside him. We are built for community and are called to rally around and for each other. We do not fight alone. We have God and a whole army of God's people we can choose to surround ourselves with. God will overcome the famines in our lives. We can always trust Him and rally with our God-given family until the famine ends. God has the victory, we can rest in Him.
