Episode description

In this episode, I am joined by Lachlan Carter. Lachlan is a swimmer at Griffith University swim club. Lachlan started squad swimming at a young age but when confronted with being unconformable with his body image he quit swimming at the age of 12. After some time away he started back up again at 17 and has been swimming ever since. He now has a better relationship with his body and he also opens up about his struggles particularly in 2020 when COVID-19 hit. Lachlan had periods of feeling really depressed and not wanting to live anymore. With the support of his partner Taylor, he spoke to a psychologist and has developed many tools which has led him to being in a much better place. Lachlan was very open and honest in our chat about everything he has experienced thus far and also gave an insight into his upcoming goals. I hope you enjoy this episode!
