RocketLinx Field Mount Switch

Ethernet is a flexible protocol over which much of today’s critical data is communicated. PROFINET is one well-known industrial Ethernet protocol, but Ethernet can also be found underneath industrial protocols based on TCP and UDP, such as MODBUS TCP/IP and EtherNet/IP. The devices that rely on these industrial Ethernet protocols are often installed in harsh environments and require switches that can withstand these environments. In this episode, we will discuss Pepperl+Fuchs’ new machine-mounted switch designed for use in harsh environments.
