Episode description

If we don't understand our limiting beliefs they can be holding us back from providing the best patient care without us even knowing!

As individuals and as a profession we have a series of beliefs that may not be true.  I've seen this in my own employees, in the Huddle and as I teach.

A few examples?

  • I have to get more experience to be 'good'
  • I need more ortho experience before being a pelvic PT
  • I need to refer out to an 'expert' immediately
  • I need a certificate to validate my skills
  • I'll be more confident once I take another skills course
  • Physicians are on a different level than PTs
  • I'll never pay off my student loans
  • Burnout is going to happen if I work full-time

These are just some examples we examine in this 'sode.

What are your limiting beliefs?  We need to identify them so we can smash through them and continue to rise!
