Serving as the Bishop of London from 1995 until his retirement in 2017, Richard Chartres had responsibility for one of the largest dioceses in the Church. His leadership was marked by a commitment to social justice, environmental issues, and fostering interfaith understanding. He was one of the Executors of Princess Diana’s Will.
