Episode description

Malcolm Pearson, started his career in the City where he founded an insurance broking business at the age of 22, of which he remains Chairman. Known for his staunchly euro-sceptic views, he defected from the Conservative Party to join UKIP in 2007, going on to become its Leader in 2009 (for a brief 9 months). He was a leading critic of totalitarianism in the USSR and became a supporter and friend of the Russian dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
