Having been Chairman of the Liberal Party, Tim Clement-Jones played a pivotal role in the creation of the Liberal Democrat with the SDP merger in 1988. He was made a Lib Dem Life Peer in 1998 and has played an active role since. As a lawyer specialising in the fields of business and technology he has become a trusted authority on intellectual property, data protection and AI.
