As parents, we often encounter kids with two distinct temperaments. The first type values their authenticity and won't betray themselves, even if it means risking their relationship with their guardian. The second type of child remains loyal to their caretaker and will do anything to comply with their wishes, often leading to a lack of personal growth. Rather than resorting to control to bring these kids to a middle ground, we can help them find balance by using connection and unconditional love.
