The New England Patriots have an active 16-year streak of at least one undrafted free agent making the opening day roster. There are promising UDFAs on both sides of the ball again this season, including wide receivers Jeff Thomas and Will Hastings and linebacker Nick Coe. However, one of the two quarterbacks, J'Mar Smith or Brian Lewerke, might have the best shot of making the 53-man.
