Tom Brady's departure from the Patriots resembled that of many great NFL quarterbacks. It was a culmination of changes and events over multiple seasons that led to Brady to leave New England: no contract extension, Jimmy Garoppolo not being traded right away, Rob Gronkowski almost being traded, not being compensated after years of sacrificing salary for the team, etc. But is the team completely to blame for Brady moving on?
