The Patriots officially signed DL Tashawn Bower, DB Myles Bryant, OL James Ferentz, K Nick Folk, QB Brian Hoyer, TE Matt LaCosse, DL Bill Murray, WR Tre Nixon, OL Alex Redmond, DB D’Angelo Ross, OL Will Sherman and WR Kristian Wilkerson. It is reported that the Patriots claimed former Navy QB Malcolm Perry off of waivers from the Dolphins. Coach Bill Belichick avoided questions about his former QB Cam Newton. Bill also talked about his new starting QB Mac Jones: "He [Mac Jones] has shown an ability to do things in the way we want them done."
