But right now we're going to go to Nelson Aghalore, and before we do, a big thank you to our sponsor, Microsoft, Surface, the official sideline technology provider and laptop at the NFL and the Patriots, providing players and coaches with the tools to succeed both on and off the field. Check out the powerful Surface Pro eight, combining the power of a laptop with the flexibility of a tablet at Surface dot Com. Here he is, Nelson Aglare. Thanks for being on the show.
Thanks for having me. Hey Nelson, you know, big touchdown catch for you today. I mean, what was what was it like to, you know, go into the locker room after making, you know, big play like that. It seemed like it really kind of provided a little boost for you guys. I mean it was a you know, obviously it's a play that you know we needed, uh, you know, and get on the board. Uh, and then you know, it's just finishing the game is when we got to
really celebrate the play. You know, you don't celebrate to play till the game's overwa So Nelson, can you kind of walk us through it, because I mean, I think it's one of the best catches I know, we only played two weeks so far, but one of the best catches of the year. I mean, and we're watching it as we're talking to you right now. It looked like Witherspoon had pretty good coverage on the inside. He saw the ball coming, he reacted to the ball, and you
just go over him and take the ball away. Um, what you know when the ball's coming down? What's going through your mind? Yeah? I just thought, you know, a quarterback game an opportunity. It was important to make the play there. You know, we knew what was a stake. Uh, And he gives you opportunity. You just trying to come down with the ball and make a play. I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. I don't either. It's a it's an incredit. I think it's an amazing catch.
You know, I'm not trying to be a guy. I'm not trying to play Chris Farley on Saturday Night Live. Yeah right, I thought it was an unbelievable catch. I think you're selling yourself short. Thank you? Well, well, yeah, yeah, I don't. I don't know what else to say other than wait till you see it in slow motion if you haven't already. Um, in terms of the way Pittsburgh was playing you today. Obviously they were without at least one defensive weapon. But is it about what you expected
in terms of your preparation this week? Well, you know, again, we know that Pittsburgh is always gonna be a well coached team. I think we just had to do a good job of having good route and then being prepared
to make consessive catches. You know, they have good speed out there and good length and an opportunity to make plays on the ball when it's in the air, and then to make concessive catches was a treat to us, you know, being successful in the fasting game now s see like you guys, you know, kind of press the past early in the game, you're able to run at the end to kind of close things out. What do you take from this game as an offense moving forward?
I know it's just week two. It's a process all that. Where do you guys go from here and how do you use this success to build off of it? Well, first of we'll watch the tape and we'll see the positives that we did, and we'll see concepts that work. We'll see how guys work around in different positions and then we'll build from that. You know, I think it's a good thing that we learned from a positive win.
But last week, you know, when we didn't win, we sat some things positive there too, but we wanted to grow from that. So I'm happy that we get to learn from a window. Final question, Nelson, just as you watch the tape, I want you to look at the fingerwoll that you did as you crossed over the goal line. I look. Far be it from me to tell you how to play your game. It certainly wasn't too late. It came, if anything, just a tad too early. I got nervous. I mean it was touchdown, it got called,
but whoof that was close. I'm sorry about that after that catch, I don't blame you. Congratulations on the win. Fantastic game. We appreciate you taking the time to join us. Thank you. All right, there we go, Thanks Nelson, Nelson Agela
