Miles Bryant joining us now on the Patriots postgame Show presented by cyber a Reason. Miles, congratulations on the wind today. Thank you guys. I appreciate it. Hey, Miles, happy birthday of course. How was it to uh grab an interception today? And I know it was a tough week for you last week, but but to bounce back like that on today and really sparked the team. I'm sorry, I'm sorry
it's loud because question. Oh sure, just asking you how it felt to get that interception after you know how things went last week and really kind of sparked the team this today. And happy birthday and happy birthday and press. Well, first of all, I appreciate the birthday, um, but yeah, I mean it was good just to get the team, you know, the first turn over the game and then just be catalyst to get get things going soon. Happy got things going and we were able to get the win. Miles,
what was the mindset all week? You guys had lost a couple in a row. How do you sort of turn that page and and get back to playing the way you guys had played during that seven game win streak. What was the message from coach Belichick? On down. Yeah, I mean we're stay a lot of football to play. You know, that one game there and didn't the end the season, so there's still a lot of football head and we just had to you know, prepare how we
would and you know, just come out and play. To play a lot harder to play last mor what we were able to do today, So it was good. Is there a special food that you enjoy on your birthday, either as an entree or a dessert. That's the food birthday food? Chicken wings can't go wrong. That's a that's a great way to celebrate. Why not? Yeah? Quality. Um, you guys obviously know your position and where things stand
for the postseason. I I assume it's not talked about in the locker room, but do you do any just score board watching, looking ahead, looking at other teams? Thinking about it? I mean, you trying not to just try to focus on what you can control, because you can't. You can't control the outcome of those games. So I
mean you just you just focused on what you have. Funny, you know, I think a lot of times I'm just saying it before teams you know, get ear in a position and then started looking at you know, scoreboard or where people are as on leader boards and they end up missing what they have to do is something for us, we're just you know, looking at We're just to tell them what we can. Well, I just want to ask
you about the beginning of the season. I know last year you made a really big impact coming in as an undrafted guy, and you know you kind of had to wait your turn a little bit this year. Just you know, what was your mindset early on when you when you weren't playing, and now Jonathan goes down, you get a chance for an expanded role. It seems like, you know, you're really getting a lot of action. Yeah.
I mean for me, it was just like paying for each game, like when you first started off from Miami and then went to New York and New Orleans. Like in my mind, I was preparing myself to play each of those games, which I ended up not playing. But I just got my mind right, and then as my time came, I just I just knew I had like put the work in, I had done the preparation, and all I had to do is just go out and play.
And I think since I've been playing, you know, I've learned a lot and I'm going to continue to keep learning, uh, you know, from mistakes, you know from from good plays from bad places, and you know, just keep trying to build, keep trying to you know, maximize my time here and maximize my football current. Now, So you guys got up big today and it was obviously pretty tough for the
Jags considering what they were working with. But I'm interested in your thoughts on Trevor Lawrence and what it was like going against him today and just you know, the thoughts of you guys in the secondary facing a young rookie quarterback much like your own. Yeah, I mean I think I think, especially if you look at his college resume speak for us. So all the great things he's done there, man, I mean, they just don't pick anybody to use number one pick. So I think his talent
is able to speak for him stuff. And I mean we were able to show him a couple of different things that looked a little different on film, and he was able to u We were able to cackle the eyes line some of the mistakes he maybe, So I think I think he has a bunch of upside and I think if he just keeps putting the work end He's gonna make it happy. Miles, do you want to give a shout out to your favorite wings place around here? Maybe you'll end up with some free birthday wings on
the way home. Uh yeah, I mean I like to start out Wingstop, wing Stop about three four location. Maybe they can send them to the bookcase. Yeah, wing Stop. But I mean, if you guys a Windows and Norton, have you been to Windows? I haven't. Okay, check out Windows. See and I haven't been to wing Stop. So I'm gonna I'm gonna take your recommendation there, Miles, Hey, happy to happy. If you live around Newton, go to Buffs. Oh yeah, Buffs is fantastic. Uh. Congratulations on the wind today.
