The crying out for help (shavah) that the Hebrews did while in captivity was only one part of the entire event, that was their deliverance. Their cry merely caused the Most High to remember His covenant with their forefathers.
Here we see a biblical pattern that runs through the entire Word, from beginning to end. Although we live in an age where everything is about an "individual/personal salvation", the Bible reveals something much different. A heritage. A legacy. A covenant that is bigger than us all.
