Episode description
-During a hearing on the appointment of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to Attorney General, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was halted from reading a 1986 letter written by Coretta Scott King that criticized Sessions. The Republican means to shut her down was a previously obscure rule known as Rule 19. Pat, Stu, and Jeff agree that such a rule must be done away with and that the Republicans made a huge mistake in invoking it against Warren.
-Vice President Mike Pence cast the deciding vote to confirm Secretary of Education appointee Betsy DeVos after the Senate was split 50-50. This was the Donald Trump appointee that the Democrats had determined they would oppose, and they are unlikely to deny any of Trump's other appointees.
-Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has introduced a bill to abolish the department of education. In his mind, un-elected bureaucrats should not decide the education options for our children. Is he on to something?
-The guys analyze the history and recent re-birth of the hit television drama ‘24’. What originally made the show eventually lose its attractiveness to viewers?

-How many drugs are produced here in the US by big pharmaceutical companies versus those developed around the world? Is it at all fair for Sanders to demonize these corporations?
-Pat and Stu dissect Sanders' comments in regards to a small business owner in Fort Worth, Texas. Should businesses that employ more than fifty people be forced to provide health insurance for them?
