Skylar Swinford, principal of Energy Systems Consultants and longtime member of the Phius Technical Committee, is a widely recognized North American Passive House consultant and thought leader based in Boise, Idaho. Podcast cohost Zack Semke, who worked with Skylar at Hammer & Hand when that Pacific NW builder was playing a pioneering role in Passive House, spoke with Skylar about his unique pathway to Passive House, his experience building and consulting on his own recently-completed Passive House home in Boise, and the how Passive House fits with the exciting new "electrify everything" movement that is gaining traction in the US.
