Gestalt therapy, founded by Fritz Perls, Laura Perls, and Paul Goodman in the 1940s, is an experiential form of psychotherapy that focuses on individuals' personal responsibility and experience in the present moment. The therapy uses creative and active techniques to increase self-awareness and self-acceptance.
