So in the documents case with with Trump and the special counsel , the other day , trump's legal team asked for what is practically an indefinite delay to the trial . Smith's team originally asked for a delay to begin the trial in December to give Trump's team enough time to handle the discovery , which is , you know , is a massive quantity .
I think it was some six or seven terabytes of data , if you know anything , read it . Well , luckily for them , some 57 hours of that is video footage and not documents , so at least they could sit there and watch the security footage like a movie .

There's no reason to need a real trial , to postpone the trial at all , let alone indefinitely doing indefinitely postponing a trial would be a violation of the cuts like his constitutional rights , like yeah , etc . Oh my God , yeah , etc .

There are scenarios in which you would postpone a trial indefinitely , and I can think of one instance like so say you're , you have a civil suit that's set to go to trial , but there's also supposed to be a period of potential arbitration or something .
So you would say hey , you know the arbitration set to go on for three months , so let's just postpone the trial indefinitely because we may not need it , because we may come to some kind of settlement agreement during arbitration .
But they don't have arbitration for criminal matters . No , but I'm just saying , like it's not , that's right .

You might take a trial off the calendar altogether temporarily , with the caveat being that there be some , you know , definite point in time where you could say once this event occurs , then we will know whether or not we need to set a trial date .
