Host Matthew Donald and guest co-host Natasha Krech discuss Livyatan, the monster whale eighteenth-century sailors all feared despite it living millions of years ago and only being described in the 2010s. From the Late Miocene, this 60-foot cetacean ate other large whales for breakfast and was a direct rival of the monster shark C. megalodon. What a terrifying ocean. Let's never time-travel there.
