Calorogu shark media. Hello one, Welcome to Palace Intrigue. I'm your host. Remark for ansis Harry, who gave up his country and family to get away from the press, will likely be thrilled to learn Meghan has marked their daughter's fourth birthday by sharing two poignant family photographs on social media. One image, in black and white, captures Meghan seated with
Princess Lilibet on her lap. Both our winds swept and appeared to be a boarder boat, with the young princess's face partially visible, her eyes on the top half of her face seen clearly for the first time and some time, while her mouth remains shielded by her mother's embrace. The second image is a tender throwback Meghan cradling a newborn Lilibet in twenty twenty one, shortly after her birth. Writing on Instagram, Meghan said, happy birthday to our beautiful girl
four years ago. Today she came into our lives and each day is brighter and better because of it, thanks to all of those sending love celebrating her special day. The post is notable in that it departs from the Sussex's usual protocol of sharing only obscured or re effacing images of their children. Until now, public glimpses of Princess
Lilabet have been few and carefully managed. We regularly thank Meghan for her contributions to this podcast, and the duchess scheduling is about to provide us with another avoidable controversy. Meghan is said to be honored at a glittering gala in Los Angeles next Saturday, though her attendance will coincide with one of the most significant events in the British
Royal calendar, Trooping the Colour. Meghan Mirkel has been named a guest of honor at the Night of Wonder gala hosted by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. She will be recognized for her contributions to championing women and underserved communities. The event, which promises an enchanted Garden at Night theme, will feature immersive exhibits, live music, and a formal dinner. According to People magazine, the guest list is expected to draw leading figures from Los Angeles cultural
and philanthropic circles. However, the Duchess's spotlight moment in LA will directly clash with the King Charles the third's official birthday celebrations in London next Saturday, members of the royal family will gather on horse Guard's Parade for Trooping the Colour, the traditional military ceremony that marks the sovereign's official birthday. The juxtaposition of these two events will inevitably invite comparisons. On one side of the Atlantic, the Duchess at a
higher profile American Garla, surrounded by Hollywood's cultural elite. On the other, the monarch and working royals in full ceremonial form before the British public. As ever, as one says, the optics of royal divergence will be closely watched. As expert royal watchers, we predict the royals will go full balcony. Expect a lot of Kate and the kids being cute as the battle for press coverage heats up Thanks Megan, Royal biographer Penny Juna has offered a scathing assessment of
Meghan in a column for Sky News Australia. Junia alleged that megaan when Michael doesn't listen to advice, she believes she always knows best and that Harry only listens to her. Juna pointed to the Duchess's plummeting popularity in the UK. Citing a recent poll that placed her approval rating at just twenty percent, she suggested that Megan and Harry's efforts to establish a California based alternative to the Royal Family, complete with staff and a polished pr machine, amounts to
little more than a cheap knockoff. According to Juna, their self styled court is unlikely to survive long given her attitude and the couple's ongoing war with the press. You can't build a royal brand by ignoring council and picking fights with the very institutions that once supported you. It was a heavy workload on Wednesday for the tireless Prince of Wales, who didn't just feed the media, he fed
the troops. Prince William, who succeeded his father in the ceremonial military role last May, arrived on base at wat Is, some flying Station board a Wildcat helicopter and was warmly
received by soldiers and their families. Dressed in camouflage udge and sporting the regiment's distinctive blue beret, the Prince was hands on during his visit, even serving up sausage babs and bacon rolls at a weekly breakfast gathering known as Archer's Breakfast held him memory of Air Trooper Daniel Pope, who died of cancer in twenty sixteen, aged just twenty one.
Nothing worse than the smell of bacon in the room, and you can't eat it, we he equipped as he handed out food to troops from the six sixty four Squadron and mingled with their families. At one point, after asking a soldier if he was seeing enough of his family, William joked, some of them might not want to see you that much. It's a mixed bag. But amid the banter, the Prince struck a serious note found to address concerns raised about the quality of military accommodation. I'm going to
have a chat about accommodation. Make sure they look at that, he told a group of servicemen during a pause in their physical training session. If they listened to me, that's another matter. When another group responded only with knowing smiles, William observed with dry humor, I'll take that away. A lot of smiles going on, That's all you need to say.
Staff Sergeant Meghan Chasney, who served at what Isn't for fifteen years, described the visit as fantastic, adding that the Prince said he would do his best to help improve infrastructure on the site. She also spoke about the significance of Archer's Breakfast and keeping the memory of Air Troop at Pope alive. It's really important to the soldiers here. Some of them served with him on tours of Afghanistan.
It's important to make sure he's not forgotten. During the visit, Prince William also presented the King's Commendation for Valuable Service to Captain Ken Copeland, recognizing his outstanding contribution. After the visit, William took to the skies once more, piloting his own return flight home. The hard working Prince has a busy schedule this week. On Friday, he will attend a flower show, more palacing just a moment. Well, that's a lot of commercials.

Prince Harry has sent a heartfelt message of congratulations to a group of former Special Forces veterans who accomplished a stunning feet traveling from London to Mount Everest and back in just seven days. The Duke of Sussex, who served for a decade in the British Army and undertook two tours of Afghanistan, praised the veterans for what he called a remarkable accomplishment. In a personalized letter to Kevin Godlington, one of the veterans involved, Harry wrote, Wow,
what a remarkable accomplishment. What you have done is nothing short of extraordinary. The letter, which Kevin later shared on Instagram while tagging the military charities Scotty's Little Soul and its founder at Nicki Scott Loud of the veterans, not only for their physical achievement, but for their purpose. Reaching the top of the world is an immense physical and mental challenge in its own right, Harry said, but doing it with purpose to honor and support military families elevates
this feat to another level entirely. I take my hat off to you all. The Duke went on to express his deep gratitude for their effort in raising awareness for bereaved military families, a cause close to his heart. You've pushed the boundaries of human endurance while shining a light on a cause that is deeply important to me, the well being of our service families, especially children and young people who've experienced loss. For that, I am hugely grateful.
Harry concluded the letter with a personal flourish, adding a handwritten note at the bottom that read, well done, lads, All the best Harry. Interestingly, the letter was signed with his full title Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and bore his royal cipher at the top, as opposed to say cheers, Harry Spencer.
