In 1930s Oklahoma, a boy named Eliot tries to make the most of the time between dust storms. But with a father long gone to Tulsa, a sister recently deceased, a despondent mother whose faith borders on delusion, and a future as bleak as the horizon, Eliot struggles to be the man he knows his family needs.
