Episode description

Welcome to Episode 161 where we explore what your personal attachments might be, and how to begin the process of letting go.

In this episode we look at areas of attachment and ask you to think about some you may be caught up in trying to control lately…around people, events or the process.  We explore how most attachments are fear-based, as we are afraid of negative outcomes if we let go and stop trying to influence what happens. Grief work is the answer as we work on letting go and coming to acceptance of what is, giving us perspective on how detachment can help us bring the focus back to ourselves and stay grounded.

Key Elements:

  • Identify some possible attachments you may have in your life.
  • Explore some of the driving fears and wishes for these.
  • Describe how grief work can help us begin to let go of control.

“There are things that we don't

want to happen but have to accept,

things we don't want to know

 but have to learn,

people we can't live without

but have to let go.”

― Nancy Stephan
