Episode description

Welcome to Episode 152 where we add on to the idea of how doing TOO much can be an easy distraction from feeling and facing things we don’t want to contend with.

In this episode we talk about how for so many of us, piling on too much to do, keeping too many things going on at one time not only creates chaos and stress, but can also conveniently keep us from sitting in feelings we are avoiding.  We explore where this coping skill may come from, ways to begin sitting in the truth, and the richness our life can have when we grab the courage to do so.

 Key Elements:

  • Talk about some reasons why we may deny our feelings in order to cope.
  • Discuss some of the ways we can “run” from things we don’t want to face.
  • Look at how staying too busy creates its own chaos.

“Our anxiety does not come

from thinking about the future,

but from wanting to

control it.”

– Kahlil Gibran
