Episode description

Welcome to episode 115 where we focus on how asking for what we need in the moment and honoring agreements creates emotional safety in our relationships.

In this episode we get into just what it takes to negotiate needs in the moment – when the thing is happening – when we least want to – because we may fear conflict.  But learning how to practice healthy boundaries and detachment go a long way to feeling comfortable doing so. The ability to resolve things as they are happening can help keep resentments from building up.  We also explore how honoring agreements can build trust in a relationship, as not honoring them can break it.

Key Elements:

  • Revisit the concepts of boundaries and detachment as crucial to negotiating needs.
  • Explore how agreements can make or break trust in your relationships.
  • Discuss typical scenarios where we might need to put our skills to the test.
