Episode description

Welcome to Episode 166 where we discuss how there are three ways we all communicate, according to Jim Rohn.  We will be passive-aggressive, aggressive, or assertive.

In this episode we talked about how to be empowered we must be assertive, which means standing in our truth while being calm, grounded and respectful of others at the same time.  We discussed what assertiveness looks like and what is definitely is not, such as aggressive or passive-aggressive behavior. Assertiveness is all about finding and using your voice in healthy ways to make your insides match your outsides, so you can feel confident and trust yourself more.

Key Elements:

  • Identify what assertiveness looks like in action.
  • Compare assertive communication with passive-aggressive behavior.
  • Talk about the ways boundaries and choice are a big part of being confident.

You may not control

all the events that happen to you,

but you can decide

not to be reduced by them.
