E79 Fuckin' Magic
A delirious recap of the live show we just wrapped up, and trying to understand the fucking magic! Honestly we are too tired to write a concise episode description.
Recorded in Harvey the Short Bus and inspired by Own IT the live performing arts event in SLC, this podcast is an extension of a visceral experience of synergy. We are the artists, innovators and rebels with a cause. Our goal is to keep listening, questioning and bringing it to the mic. Harvey is a fully operational recording space on wheels. We invite people inside to share their writing, music, thoughts and stories. Our hope is to ignite the spark of art wherever we go. Hosted by SLC poet and recording artists Sarah Kappos this show is an exploration of how humans be, how they want to become and the role creativity plays in this evolution.

What to do with a lackluster To-Do List? Stare at it. Cry about it. Open the gate and let all the wild animals out. Admit that perhaps you don't care about it. Turn it upside down. Text a guy about a black, busted-up short bus, and imagine a recording space inside. Make a mad dash for the stage.
We found a tree house, so we climbed up inside and recorded a podcast watching the sunset. We talked about leaders, tribes, Recovery Day, and money. We then told a few stories about when we were kids.
What does it really mean when Sarah giggles? Sarah's daughter, Sophie teaches Sarah about the new concept of emotional credit cards. How do you accumulate something of value over time if you're always living one day at a time?
How do you set artistic goals? What does warm chocolate cake with cold vanilla ice cream have to do with a moment of clarity? What do you do if your goal is demolished by a heartless injustice? What does faith have to do with any of this? We find perhaps, everything.
It was Sarah's Birthday when this episode was recorded in a car named Goldie. The duo discusses other podcasts...one where the host's "s" sticks out annoyingly and the other where a woman says "yeah" too much. Sarah explores augmented reality and asks Phi a compelling-ish question.
Somehow this episode starts out arguing the definition of heavy petting, but really it explores a few questions. What if we are selling out right now and we don't even know it? Do your ideals control you or are you free to make choices? Are you free to change your mind? What does it mean to be free? Philip sat on his glasses but forgot to talk about it even though it was a really big deal.
The Duo finds their way into an Oasis of a cafe where there happens to be a Witchy-aura- reader right next door. Sarah's Aura has blue and Phil wishes his Aura was not pink.
