In this edition of the audio mailbag, owner-operators respond to news of the electronic-logs mandate's final rule release by FMCSA -- if the timetable for implementation in the rule stands, truckers running under the hours of service and with a model year 2000 or newer truck will be required to record hours with an approved device in December 2017. The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association petitioned in court for a review of the rule on December 15.
