What can keep a relationship together even when people are very different? Character and values are defining attributes of each person. Our personality defines who we are or how we are “wired.” Our personality will largely explain how we express our values and character. Those values and character traits will largely determine how we respond to life encounters. In the context of a lasting relationship, we need to determine our values and those attributes we value most. We must learn our strengths and vulnerabilities as we learn who we are and what defines us. Ron and Marty will have been married 55 years on 7 September 2023.
