Crystal Baptiste – Why Am I Being Treated This Way?

Crystal Baptiste chronicles a portion of her life where she wanted to know why she was treated the way she was at an early age. Nearly 35 years later, she gained a new perspective based on her indigenous parentage. A historical recounting of how things were for her Plains Cree enrolled tribal upbringing provided the perspective she needed to understand what her mother endured during her childhood. That new perspective was the impetus for Crystal to restore her relationship with her mother.
