Maybe that's Lisa, and we're just two girls that want to have a conversation with you. Dear sixteen year old Andrea, Hey gorgeous, Dear younger Lauren. Each episode is stories from people. I would deprive myself by myself obsessively because I was eating healthy. I couldn't understand that I had a problem with food. Losing my period scared me the most. My story starts when I was around seven. That's when I started to hate my body. Body image is like our

inner picture of our outer self. Healthy behaviors play a much bigger role at all health than the actual number on the scales. Internal dialogue could be so powerful and often it's super negative and critical in a way that we wouldn't talk to other people that we care about. When you start to share your story, that gives other people the courage to share theirs. I know you would be proud now of how far you have come in your relationship to food, exercise, and to yourself. I felt freedom,

I've gained relationships. I've found my true sense of self worth. There's one thing I need you to take away. You're going to be happy New Year, Amy and everyone. Yes, I know I can't believe it. We made it. We're here, Yeah, we made it. It was a it was a rough one, but I think we're all kind of really eager to

jump start into what's next. And I think that the idea of, you know, goals can be really overwhelming because they're framed so positively when it comes to health and fitness, and I think it's just important or what I'm doing personally, and perhaps Amy or anyone else can kind of just check in and feel what's right for you is I'm

reflecting today. It's January two, and while everybody else is hopping into you know, their thirty day whatever plan, I want to really reflect on the past year because I did anything despite being really difficult. It taught us a lot about ourselves as individuals, about ourselves as a collective,

and there is a lot to reflect on. And before we rush into to the next thirty days or whatever it is that you're thinking of one, I think it's important that you carry some of that wisdom with you, and that's kind of like your own pearl of wisdom. So we have a really great episode lined up for you today. It's very different than anything we've ever done. It's with my friend Kelsey patell She's been a guest

on The Truthius Life, my podcast. If you listened, she's just an angel, and she's leading us through a really grounding meditation to really just kind of get centered right now when I feel like everyone else can kind of be going full speed into the future. So I I tested out the meditation myself, and I just wanted to give a little pro tip to anyone listening. So first of all, if you're like I can't meditate, like you know, notice that, notice that judgment of yourself and allow yourself

to carve out twelve minutes. And if you live somewhere that's like warm or available to nature, whether it's sand or grass, if you can lie as close to the ground as possible, I think that's really going to be key. If you're so were cold and you're not leaving your house, totally fine too. I recommend just lying comfortably on the floor on maybe some pillows or a blanket and getting really cozy. So again, this is really just a juicy way to slow down while everybody else is rushing to

what's next. So since you mentioned Pearls, Lisa and made me think of a quote, I read it the other day, so I thought I need to share this right now, so I just pulled it up and it's from Stephen Hohler. I think that's how you say his name, not sure, but he said, a pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear that results from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by

an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl. Well, I mean, you would think that we planned this conversation. So the fact that you just brought that up and I randomly said pearl, I don't even think I've ever used that word, but I love that. I think that's the I didn't even realize that that's

how kind of pearls are created. So just I think cumulatively, if we could all just take a moment to just think about whatever pearl of wisdom we're leaving, I think that really fits in nicely with your gratitude. Amy. And on another note, I have an online course for the Noise, Hunger and Fullness that's actually kicking off tomorrow, so Sunday, and if you haven't learned about it, you can go to fork the Noise dot com forward slash HF to

kind of learn what it's about. But it's really about just reconnecting the mind and body and learning to listen without judgment and recognizing that every signal that your body sends you is because it's your friend, not your enemy, and that cognitive shift really changes everything. We also added payment plans because I know it's a tough time, so I'm just kind of listening and really hope that if you are interested in the course resonates with you, reach out to me to ask questions or I hope to

see you in the class. Awesome. Okay, well Lisa, why don't you introduce what we're going to get into And I'm excited to do this practice along with every everybody else. Yeah, So, without further ado, let's be joined by Kelsey Patel for a beautiful intention setting meditation to kick off on the really grounded right foot. Hello, and welcome to your New

Year's Grounding and intention Setting Ceremony and meditation practice. My name is Kelsey Patel, and I'm so excited to be here and share this journey with you as we close out a three hundred and sixty five day year and welcome the energy of a new year. As we prepare for this meditation practice, please just take a few moments to get settled inside of your body, inside of the space where your body is either seated or lying down. Perhaps if you need a more restorative practice today, they

will both work just fine. And please give yourself permission to get nice and comfortable, to let your body feel the ability to fully relax, to completely surrender and just open up to this short journey today and whenever you

feel ready, let's begin with a few deep breaths. Inhale and fill up the stomach, breath into the hips, and as you exhale, maybe open the mouth and just sigh it out a few more rounds like that, remembering wherever you are on this day, in this moment, you are safe to just surrender now, to let the shoulders soften. As you continue to just gently breathe in and out of the body, notice if there's any pent up energy, and see if you can give permission to just let

it go. Because you find your next couple of breaths, see what else the body is holding and where else it might release. Now, there is no right or wrong in these practices. It simply just is as it is. So giving yourself that full permission to soften, to create a little more space, a little more opening. I'm from this place now, with your breath nice and easy, your body and a relaxed, restorative, yet open position, I'd like to invite you to focus on the energy of the

Earth for a moment. The Earth that supports you, that holds you, the Earth that rises up to meet you with every step you take, every action and movement. The Earth is there, holding you and supporting you. And I'd like to ask you to just invite this energy of the Earth that's always there to create a connection between

your physical body and the earth body. If you can invite your body to get completely grounded, feeling that synergy of energy between you and the Earth, thanking your body and all it does for you every day without you

eating to even think about it. How it breathes for you, how it supports you when you move, I would hold you up when you sit or stand, and how resilient and capable this body is and shifting and moving as you two shift and change and move over the course of a year, over the course of a day, a lifetime, and in that same way that we thank the body, thinking the earth now or how it holds, since the ports and grounds you nurtures, the plants and the food,

the medicine of the earth that we consume and replenish and restore our bodies with the water we drink, the

flowers we smell, the herbs that support our bodies. Just taking a moment to feel that energy of gratitude between your physical body and the earth element body m we now invite you, with that energy of gratitude to just think about all of the things this past year has been for you, how you have shifted, how you have stood tall in some moments and perhaps wept or released in others, and just feel that connection to all you have experienced, accomplished, overcome, or felt or created or been

guided by in this past year. And I now invite you, with all of that new energy of a new year to simply feel the connection and energy of gratitude of learning and wisdom and knowledge from this past year, perhaps about things that no longer serve you, belief systems that have been false and there are no longer helpful for you and your life or new awareness that has helped you grow become more connected to your innate value and

worth in this world. And I now invite you to feel that sense of connection to the past year as you create a completely open vessel and portal in your physical, mental, and emotional bodies. MHM. For this upcoming year, Let it feel amazing, big, bright, and beautiful. Allow yourself to receive this energy of openness, of infinite, truly infinite possibilities for yourself. Let this energy just beam and shine through you. From

my heart to yours. This energy of connection we share as humans, and the energy we share as we walk this earth together, as we grow and adapt and learn and change and create together, remembering who you really are, how truly divine and full of possibility and potential you are. You have an incredible purpose here on this physical earth, in your physical body. May this new year bring you even more abundance, health, prosperity, and love. From my heart

to yours. May you remember who you truly are and receive all that is yours that you came here to be. I must say, and happy happy New Year,
