Speaker 1

Hey guys, this Gianno called Well. You may know me as a national political analyst, but today I'm here to talk to you about my new podcast series, out Loud with Gianno Calledwell the Sworn Enemy of PC Culture. I'm going to be interviewing national guests from all walks of life and real people discussing real issues from culture, politics,

and issues that have social media blazing. I'm excited to give you my point of view every week deep dives on many of the topics that are set in social media ablaze, things that are going on in our country. View news perspective, political perspective, a faith perspective. People often ask me what makes me unique from me anyone out there? Let me ask you this question. Have you ever met

a conservative from the South Side of Chicago? Neither of I Actually, I have to look myself in the mirror and say, wow, you're a conservative, because I don't meet anyone like me. There's no conservatives in my family. I have conservative friends now, but that took time. In fact, when I became a Republican, and you will hear me more often than not say conservatives are Republicans. Oftentimes that's the case, maybe not all the time, but oftentimes that's

the case. I went to a meeting in Naperville, Illinois. I'll never forget this day. I had wanted to be around Republicans conservatives. I wanted to talk about policy. I wanted to talk about how I felt they can make a greater impact than communities like the ones I grew up in. I went to this meeting, and interestingly enough, it was a group of all white, older individuals. And I'm sure a lot of people are saying that's not surprising,

but it was to me. Honestly, I thought that, especially in this area, that there may be at least one person that would be like me there, but there certainly wasn't any. From that point, I sat out in this meeting and they started the meeting and began to have discussions. There was a guy there at this meeting who jumped up with the sign line and he said, impeache Obama. I couldn't help but laugh, and he told him to

settle down, sit down in your chair. Charlie was his name. Honestly, I ran into him recently in Chicago, and it was so hilarious to see him after all these years. And as he sat down in his chair. He came out with another sign Obama is a terrorist, and then I couldn't believe it. Maybe all those things my family have been saying for years could be true. But I stuck around and I stayed going to that meeting, and people

would put Charlie out every meeting. And what I begin to see is the Republican Party needed some fresh blood. They needed some folks that thought differently about the world around them. We needed to be in all places. We need to be in Baltimore, we need to be on the South side of Chicago. We need to be in those places where people like us our quote unquote not allowed. And as we talk about what issues that make me unique and different, we need to talk about the folks

who we should be appealing to. Because we are awfully big tent, but the folks outside of that tent need to understand why we are a welcoming tent. I always rely on biblical scriptures, and I'm reminded of a scripture with love and kindess of our drawn day, and that is a purpose I think that a lot of folks lack in, but there's always an opportunity to begin again.

And I'm thankful that I have you all to speak with every week, to share my thoughts no matter what it is, and although I may not always agree with my party, the ability to be honest about my point of view is more important than any party. For me. It's the principles that got me to where I am today and that will continue me on into the future.
