Celeste Mountjoy

Celeste Mountjoy is the creator of Filthy Ratbag - an online alter ego known for colourful grungy art that features a rotating cast of characters including rat human hybrid babes in bikinis, shit-talking, cigarette smoking cats, and sarcastic seagulls. They hold a distorted mirror to us that feels like a hilarious punch in the guts - it’s profoundly honest, dark, and humble.

This year, Celeste teased all that out into a book. 'What the F*ck is This' is personal narrative that follows her life, her love, her losses, and her fears: including rejection, addiction, and death. On this episode of Out of the Box, she rolls through the book and the stories behind it, and of course, soundtracks the big moments.
