Episode description

Following the AFL’s annual Sir Doug Nicholls round of matches recognising and celebrating indigenous players and culture, Paul Vandenbergh, Director of Aboriginal Programs at the Port Adelaide Football Club, joined Our State this week to talk about the activities he runs at the club. From the SANTOS Aboriginal Power Cup, to the WillPOWER program, the club’s Aboriginal AFL Academy and Women’s Aboriginal AFL Academy and this year’s special "Bukko Tjidna – Bare Foot” indigenous round guernsey designed by Kaurna custodian and Yellaka performance group co-founder Karl Telfer, it was great to hear from Paul about the excellent work going on in this space down at Alberton.
