Episode description

With an unprecedented number of fruit fly outbreaks declared across metropolitan Adelaide, Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) is working hard on eradication programs.

Current outbreaks are affecting 240 suburbs and more than 320,000 residents so it’s crucial to know what to do if you live in these areas.

On this episode of ‘Our State’, the Executive Director of Biosecurity at PIRSA Nathan Rhodes and Chief Executive Officer of the SA Produce Markets Angelo Demasi discuss why keeping SA fruit fly free is important for industry and for all South Australians.
