Influenza virus spreads easily and quickly between people through coughing, talking, sneezing and touching contaminated hands, tissues and other items. Flu is much more than a simple cold and vaccination every year provides the best protection and is highly recommended.
Those who are pregnant and people with chronic health problems are also more at risk of complications.
