Let This Mind Be In You | Ep. 158

. This day wasn't particularly planned the way that it turned out . I knew before , and I've just come to remember now , how the Lord is mindful of the feelings , of the wounds , of the hurts of his saints , and normally fellowship doesn't go in this fashion .

But obviously there's a need for the touch of God to come upon the hearts of people that are hurting , that are wounded , not so much because of God did something evil to them , but just because of the loss . There are soul ties that are formed when you have relationships with others , and some soul ties are negative .

Some of the soul ties are very , very positive , and the soul tie that Marta established with many of us was deep , and so the pain is deep , and I wish your sister was here today , because the Lord had something on my heart to tell her , so I would have to delay that . It would have to be for another day . She should be here soon .

Oh really , she took the obituary out . Oh , okay , or one , it was some kind of At work . Nevertheless , I've got a message and I hope it comes out right , because I feel like Bishop Harris , he doesn't actually write it , he just copies and pastes a bunch of scriptures together and when he gives it it's then

delivered spontaneously . So I hope it's in order and I hope that you understand what the Lord has in store for you , what the word of God is for you today . I guess , in honor of Mamarta even though the message is not on this , it'll start with this I think one of her favorite words , a word that she came to embrace fully , wholeheartedly , is repentance .

In Psalm 119 , very long chapter of 170-something verses , in verse 9 , there's a word that starts off .

If you read 119 , it's sectioned off , and before it's sectioned off there's a word that's given to sort of describe those next set of verses , and this verse starts with the word Beth , and this section of verses has to do with purity is the fruit of the law , and Psalm 119 says Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way ?

How is a young man going to clean up his life ? How is he going to clean up his direction and his way by taking heed according to thy word . No man can cleanse his way lest he conform his life to the word . It says in 2 Timothy as a definition kind of repentance .

Paul wasn't kind of defining repentance , but in the way that he said it he is defining it . He says in meekness , Timothy , instruct those that oppose themselves If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth . And an element , a critical element of repentance is that repentance must acknowledge the truth .

It must acknowledge that the way that they're walking is wrong , because he has something to compare it to and the truth that he compares it to makes him realize that my waywardness is crooked and I must get straight . But it doesn't get straight unless I conform it according to his word .

He continues on in 2 Timothy , actually a couple of verses before that , and he says if a man therefore purge himself from these , he shall be a vessel of honor .

There is a requirement , there is a responsibility that is placed upon man that he must purge himself of things to make himself a vessel of honor , to make himself sanctified , something useful to the master , something prepared for every good work that he is called unto . And just in case you miss it , it says flee youthful lusts .

It says follow after righteousness , faith , charity , peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart . Follow these things with the brethren who call upon the Lord with a pure heart . It's not just alone , but there is a responsibility that only you can handle , that only you can take on yourself .

You must purge yourself In order to straighten your way . You must conform your life according to thy word . It is the only way to cleanse your way . And Peter , another apostle , not Paul , said this seeing ye have purified your souls , you purified your souls in obeying the truth . Obeying the truth is how you conform your life to his word .

Obeying the truth through the Spirit . It says in 1 Peter 1 , 22 . And although I've started it with repentance ,

my message is let this mind be in you . That was also in Christ Jesus . It says in Philippians 2 , 5-13, . I'm only going to highlight a few things and you can write down the scriptures and it'll be up here and you can read it for yourself at a later time , but he begins with this Let this mind be in you . He is writing to the Philippians .

They are the church that Paul himself had established in the gospel of the kingdom . Let this mind be in you , which was also in Christ Jesus who , being in the form of God , thought it not robbery to be equal with God . God , excuse me , Paul knew that Jesus , this man , this person that he had come to know by the Spirit , by revelation , was equal with God .

But in knowing that he was God manifested in the flesh , he didn't think it was robbery to be equal with God , but he made himself . This man , who was God , which is the mystery of Godliness , made himself of no reputation even though he was God . He took upon himself the form of a servant , even though he was God .

He was made in the likeness of men , even though he was God . He humbled himself even though he was God . He humbled himself even though he was God , and he became obedient unto death . This is a man . This is a man that is an example unto us of how we are to walk out our life .

And in order for you to understand that the scriptures must be opened unto you . I'm going to share them . Whether you receive them and have them opened unto you , I have no idea . I'm only here to deliver the message . But Jesus open ups the eyes of those who are hungering and thirsting after him .

He makes them understand the things that the prophets of those who are hungering and thirsting after him . He makes them understand the things that the prophets of old diligently sought into and still did not understand themselves , even though they gave the prophetic word . He is able to open up the blind eyes not just physically but , more important , spiritually .

He says in verse 12 , as ye have always obeyed , not as in my presence only , but much more in my absence . Work out , work it out , your salvation with fear and trembling , for it is God that worketh in you , both to will , to will , to want to desire and to do , to give you the power to actually do his good pleasure , to actually do the things .

That puts a smile on his face and where he says in his heart well done . Well done , my good and faithful servant . Well done , my good and faithful servant . You see , some of us think that this man , Jesus Christ , was so much God that we cannot relate to him , that we can't understand how he was able to relate to us .

But I tell you that the scriptures do declare from Paul and to Peter , in Acts 2.22 , when he's preaching the gospel for the first time under the unction of the Holy Ghost , he says you , men of Israel , hear these words Jesus of Nazareth a man . He didn't say Jesus Nazareth God , no , Jesus Nazareth a man .

Consider that he was a man and yes , he was approved by God and yes , he did miracles among you with signs and wonders , and which God did . Hello , God did by him , by this man .

He , God did these miracles in the midst of you , as you yourselves know , paul says in 1 Timothy for there is one God and one mediator between God and men , the man , Christ Jesus . It says in Hebrews , because there's this progressive revelation that is trying to come forth .

So if you have your eyes open , you will see , and if you don't have your eyes open , you're going to see carnally and it's going to mess you up . You're not going to get it . You're not going to understand what is at our fingertips . When we were born again , and some of us are , and some of us have not yet been born again .

So listen to these words and see the hope of the calling that you have before you , because it says in Hebrews , chapter 2 , verse 14, . For as much then , as the children are partakers of flesh and blood , he also himself , likewise , took part in the same . He also became flesh and blood .

He was a man like you are a man where you sweat and you toil and you have to go to the bathroom and you have to eat and you have to hunger and you have to thirst . This man suffered all of these things because he was a man just

like us In every way . Just like us , it says and it continues . He didn't take on the form or the nature of angels , but he took on him the seed of Abraham . He was a man , it says , in all things . He was made like unto his brethren Repeat after me all things . He was made like unto his brethren Repeat after me All things .

He had eyes , he had two ears , he had two nostrils . He tasted , he thirsted , he hungered , he sweated , he struggled , just like you and I , because he was a man albeit God , manifested in the flesh . But you must understand , you must get the revelation .

He was a man , and if you can get that revelation and then realize all that he accomplished , you would realize , oh my God , what I can do through you . And he did this because he had to be a reconciliation for the sins of the people . There are many Old Testament scriptures that are prophetic , and what I mean by prophetic ?

That they sort of speak in their present day . They speak as to a future to come , of something to come to pass , or they speak of , about a person or about a place , that something is going to happen . And I want to show you today that there are some scriptures that just don't predict the future . They actually reveal the heart of God .

Well , I don't think we see that . So hopefully , by the end of this I will be able to show this to you . In Isaiah 49 , we'll start with the prophet Isaiah .

Many prophecies of the Messiah came through the prophet Isaiah , but in 49:2 , he says and you read these passages and you think , oh , he's talking about himself , he's talking about what God did with him or to him . And Isaiah says , 49:2 , he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword .

In the shadow of his hand hath he hid me and he made me a polished shaft In his quiver . He hath hid me and you think , wow , he did something interesting with Isaiah . But that's natural carnal understanding . You have yet to have the scriptures open unto you . If that's all that you see , so let me give you another one .

Isaiah , chapter 50 , verse 4 through 7 . And you think it's Isaiah speaking , and it most certainly is Isaiah speaking , it most certainly is the Spirit of God speaking through the prophet . And he says the Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned . Okay , that's cool , Isaiah , that I should know how to speak a word and season to him . That is weary .

Wow , that's nice . He wakeneth morning by morning he awakens me . He wakened in my ear to hear , as the learned , the Lord God has opened my ear and I was not rebellious and neither turned my way back . And you're thinking all this time wow , isaiah , that's cool . You hear the Lord , he's opening up your ears . That's awesome .

But then , verse 6 , it says I gave my back to the smiters and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair , something happened , and maybe it happened before this point and you just haven't had it revealed to you . It says , I hidden out my face from shame and from spitting For the Lord . God will help me . Therefore , shall I not be confounded ?

Therefore , I have set my face like a flint and I know that I shall not be ashamed . Prophetic words are not simply trying to predict something in the future . Consider that this passage here is an example of you , of God sharing his heart through the prophet of something that He Himself experienced when In the days of his flesh .

Consider that these are not simply the words of Isaiah , but these are the words of that man , Jesus Christ . . . because we've heard many times before how , in 1 Peter 1.11 , it says they're definitely prophetic . It was the Spirit of Christ and the glory that should follow . They're definitely prophetic .

It was the Spirit of Christ on the prophets , giving stuff that was going to take place , revealing how Jesus was going to die a sinner's death , but the glory that was to follow afterward , how he would be raised up , how he would be placed and seated at the right hand of the Father in glory and majesty and power , seated high above , in principality , over

principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness , of wicked spirits in high places . Yes , it was the Spirit of Christ . Turn to Psalm 22 , because it's more than just predicting what he was going to do in the future . It's more intimate , what the Spirit of Christ was revealing through the prophets of old . Consider Psalm 22 .

Verse 1 says my God , my God , why hast thou forsaken me ?

And who's writing this ? David . And so you think David . David going through a troubling time in his life and he's saying my God , my God , why has that forsaken me ? And I'm not saying David didn't experience this . I'm not saying that he didn't write these words . What I am saying is isn't that what this man said on the cross ? Was that not his very words ?

It's almost as if the Spirit of Christ wanted to reveal to man , through the prophets of old , exactly what he was , not what he would do , not just what he would do , but what he was thinking , what he was meditating on , what was going through his heart as these things were taking place .

And all of a sudden , it was injected into the Spirit of David and as he spoke forth , what were his own words , not realizing they were actually the Spirit of the man , Jesus Christ speaking through him . Read these words oh , my God , I cry in the daytime but you don't hear me in the night season , and I'm not silent . But thou art holy .

Thou inhabitest the praises of Israel . Our fathers trusted in thee . They trusted and thou didst deliver them . They cried unto thee and were delivered . They trusted in thee and were not confounded . And yeah , it's easy and safe to say it was David . Consider these were the thoughts of the man , Jesus Christ , in the days of his flesh . What was he thinking ?

How was he building himself up ? How was he strengthening himself up in the word to complete what he was called for ? It says in verse 8 , he trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him . Let him deliver him , seeing he delighted in him . Is that just David ? Consider , consider , as it says . But thou art he that took me out of the womb .

Thou didst make me hope . When I was upon my mother's breast , I was cast upon thee from the womb . Consider , as it says . Are these not what we consider messianic prophecies ? Think in verse 14 . Is this the thoughts of the man as he was on the cross ? It says I am poured out like water . All my bones are out of joint . My heart is like wax .

It is melted in the midst of my bowels . My strength is dried up like a potsherd and my tongue cleave it to my jaws . And thou has brought me into the dust of death . And the dogs have encompassed me about the assembly of the wicked , have enclosed me . They pierced my hands and my feet . That's not David .

David did not have his hands pierced , did not have his side pierced , but the Spirit of Christ of this man came through David to reveal to us what was he thinking , what was he struggling with . He intimately , intimately , knows how we feel . He intimately understands .

He's showing you his thoughts as he was on the cross , because it doesn't record that he said anything much out loud Beside my God , my God , why is thou forsaken me Beside Father ? Forgive them , for they know not what they do . You don't hear of anything else , but here you're seeing messianic prophecies that are revealing to you his own heart .

It says they part my garments among them and cast lots upon my vesture . He saw that . He saw what they were doing Because they were right next door . They took his garments and they were casting lots , as it was recorded . He saw that and he's crying out to his God . My God , they're parting my garments , they're casting lots .

You have a revelation into the heart of the man , Jesus Christ . And he says in verse 19, . But be not thou far from me , o Lord . My strength , haste thee to help me . That man was crying out to God . Right there are his words . Right there are his own prayers to his God . Let this mind be in you . That was also in Christ Jesus .

It says deliver my soul from the sword , my darling from the power of the dog . Verse 22, . I will declare thy name unto my brethren . Is that not what he did ? All throughout the four gospels that are recorded , I declared my name among them in John 17 . That are recorded . I declare my name among them in John 17 .

As he prayed , I declare your name among them , in the midst of my disciples . Deliver my soul , ye that fear the Lord . Praise him all . Ye seed of Jacob . Glorify him and fear him all . Ye seed of Israel . For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted . Neither hath he hid his face from them when he heard .

But when he cried unto him , he heard this man , jesus , was crying out to his God and he knew that his God was going to hear him . Psalm 119 is a big chapter and I'm not going to hear him .

Psalm 119 is a big chapter and I'm not going to go over everything , but I'm going to highlight for you and I'm going to ask you to consider that these were not just simply David's words . I want you to right now consider , as I just highlight some scriptures to you . We're going to start in Psalm 119 , verse 89 .

Consider this was the heart of God , this was heart of the man , Jesus Christ . And he is not just speaking through David for David's sake , he's speaking through David for all of our sake . Let this mind be in you . That was also in the man , Christ Jesus . The word is lamed , and this portion of the scriptures is describing God's unchangeable law .

He says Thy word is settled in heaven , o Lord . They continue this day according to thine ordinance , for all are thy servants . I will not listen . Let this mind be in you . That was also in Christ Jesus . For he says I will not forget thy precepts , for with them thou hast quickened me . With your precepts you've made me alive . I am thine .

Save me , for I sought thy precepts . Let this mind be in you that you seek the precepts of the Lord . The wicked have waited for me , to destroy me , but I will consider thy testimony , even though my enemies surround me about . I will consider while I'm hanging on the cross , that your testimonies are true . Your testimonies are sure .

You are forever faithful and I will commit my soul unto you , even into this death , for I know that you have never failed your saints . The next section is mem . It describes a lover of God's law . It says oh , how I love thy law . It is my meditation all the day . Consider this is not David's words .

Consider , this is the man , Jesus Christ , speaking through David . I love your law . I meditate on it , that through thy commandments , you've made me wiser than mine enemies . They are ever with me . I have more understanding than all of my teachers for thy testimonies on my meditation .

We don't know much about Jesus' life , but we know that at 12 years old he was confounding the Pharisees in the temple . Consider that those were the words of the man when he was confounding the Pharisees and within himself he was like saying oh my God , your testimonies have made me wiser .

Your commandments have made me wiser than all of these ancients , these elders . What was it that made him wiser ? Your commandments have made me wiser than all of these ancients , these elders . What was it that made him wiser ? Let this mind be in you that he kept his commandments . Consider that God's law is not just the law , the 10 commandments .

Consider that God's law is the word of God . When you read this , consider that that's the word of God . I held on to your word , o God . I held on and I kept your word , o God , and it's made me smarter than all of them . And this is not in pride . This is things that he's thinking within himself . He says I understand more than the ancients .

I keep thy precepts , and we know that he did , for there was no sin found in him . I have refrained , I have refrained my feet from every evil way that I might keep thy word . Let this mind be in you . That was in Christ Jesus . I have not departed from thy judgments , for thou hast taught me .

Jesus said in John that as my father hath taught me , so I do . He said that himself . Is he so distant that this man , Jesus Christ , did everything as God ? Well , I can't do that . It was God , of course God did that . This was a man dependent upon God , and here is his heart , revealing to you what was so important to him . What did he love ?

He loved his word . He loved his word and no matter what , he was going to keep his word . And no matter what he was going to keep his word . How does a man cleanse his way ? Heed according to his word . He says how sweet are your words ? Unto my taste , they are honey to my mouth . He loved his word .

Do we get into the word and say how sweet are your words ? Unto my taste , they are honey to my mouth . He loved his word . Do we get into the word and say , oh gosh , I've got to read this chapter so I can say I read the chapter ?

Or are we going to him in a sanctified holiness of heart and say God , I want to hear from you , open my eyes to your scriptures , allow me to love your word . I desire to keep your word because for the born again man , it is him that worketh for you to will , to want , to desire and then to do . The next section of verses is Nun in its .

God's law is a lamp and a light . It says thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path . I am afflicted very much . Quicken me , o Lord , according unto thy word Also , this man began to have an understanding . I am fulfilling the word of God . My life is fulfilling the word of God .

Quicken me what , according to thy word , he says teach me thy judgment . Have this mind in you that was also in Christ Jesus . To ask him to teach you , he humbled himself to become obedient , even unto death . Listen to what he says . I don't forget your law . Yet do I not forget thy law ? In verse 109 . In verse 111 .

Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage forever , for they are rejoicing of my heart . It said in verse 110 . The wicked have laid a snare for me , yet I have not erred from thy precepts . Listen to verse 112 . I have inclined my heart . Let this mind be in you . That was also in the man Christ Jesus . I inclined my heart to perform thy statutes .

I committed my ways to perform your word because I've gotten a revelation . You opened up my ears and I understand that I am here to fulfill your word . That is my purpose in life to fulfill your word . In Semech , verse 113, . God's law is my hiding place . I hate vain thoughts , but thy law do I love . I hope in thy word .

I will keep the commandments of my God , uphold me according unto thy word that I may live , and let me not be ashamed of my hope . Hold thou me up and I shall be safe , and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually . This is the heart of that man Just pouring himself out to his God , and you have a glimpse so that you have an example to follow .

He says therefore I love thy testimonies , I love them . The next section , verse 121 , I mean I titled it the son of man , or the son of God loves God's laws . He says I have done judgment and justice . Leave me not to mine oppressors . This man is saying I've held fast to your word .

Don't let me be in the hands of those that oppress me , those that will afflict me . I opened my mouth , I panted , for I longed for thy commandments . Order my steps in thy word . He understands I am here to fulfill your word and let not any iniquity have domin . Fulfill your word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me .

And he was faithful because no iniquity had dominion over him . So I will keep thy precepts . Make thy face to shine upon thy servant and teach me thy statutes . In the next section , god's law is truth . Zadi Thy testimony . See , he was on the cross thinking about his testimony . He says Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful .

He put his hope in God . He put his hope in his word . He read these things for himself . Lord opened up his eyes , his ears to receive them and he held fast to them . They were his hope . He says thy word is very pure . Therefore thy servant loveth it . Yet thy commandments are my delight . I delight in your commandments . Let this mind be in you .

That was also in the man , christ Jesus . And the next section is a cry of salvation . Cough , oh Lord , I will keep thy statutes , it says . I cried with my whole heart . Hear me , I hope in thy word . Quicken me according to thy judgment , according to thy word , all thy commandments are truth .

Concerning thy testimonies , I have known of old that thou has founded them forever . He realizes his word is established forever . He has no consideration whatsoever to do anything contrary to his word because he recognizes his word is already established . The next section is keeping God's law in adversity . He says deliver me , for I do not forget thy law .

Be faithful to me , lord , I have kept thy word and deliver me , quicken me according . Forget thy law . Be faithful to me , lord . I have kept thy word and deliver me . Quicken me according to thy word . Quicken me according to thy statutes . Do I

not decline from thy testimonies . Consider how I love thy precept . Quicken me , o Lord , according to thy loving kindness . Thy word is true from the beginning and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever and there is peace in keeping God's law . My heart standeth in awe at thy word . How about you ?

Let that mind be in you , because in the man , christ Jesus , he was in awe of his word . My heart stand was in awe of his word . My heart standeth in awe . But thy law do I love . Great peace have they which love thy law , and nothing , nothing shall offend them . I hoped in thy salvation and done thy commandments . My soul hath kept thy testimonies .

I love them exceedingly . I have kept . My soul hath kept thy testimonies . I love them exceedingly . I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies , and the last section . There is peace for understanding . He says let my supplication come before thee . Deliver me according to thy word . My tongue shall speak of thy word , for all thy commandments are righteous .

I have chosen thy precepts and thy law is my delight . Consider when you read Psalm 19, . To have that mind be in you . He read the scriptures . He only had the Old Testament scriptures and they were made alive to him . They were opened unto him . He realized I am here to fulfill his word . And later on he then opened the scriptures .

He opened the scriptures to who ? The disciples , because they did not understand that all the things that were spoken of through the prophets needed to be fulfilled . Think about Psalm 111.10 . The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . A good understanding have all they that do His commandments .

Consider in Proverbs the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge . Fearing the Lord is to depart from evil . It also says in Proverbs Fear of the Lord , men will depart from evil . This man , jesus Christ , had a fear of the Lord and he departed from evil because he inclined his heart toward loving his law and keeping it .

Consider Psalm 86 , 11 through 17 . Consider that these are not the words of David himself or whatever the psalmist was , but consider that the spirit of Christ injected himself through these words , For it says teach me thy way , o Lord . I will walk in thy truth . Unite my heart to fear thy name .

I believe these scriptures are opening up the very prayers of this man , the very prayers of this man unto his God , for great is thy mercy toward me . Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell . O God , the proud are risen against me , and the assemblies of the violent men have sought after my soul and have not set thee before thee .

But thou , o Lord , art a God full of compassion and gracious , longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth . Turn unto me , have mercy upon me , give thy strength unto thy servant . Can you imagine if that was his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane , when the disciples were sleeping and he ended up saying , not my will but thine be done ?

There was no doubt that that man needed strength . He was grievous almost unto death on the Garden of Gethsemane that night , and here is this man crying out Shew me a token for good . It says in verse 17 that they which hate me may see it . Did not Jesus become a token and a sign unto everyone when he hung on that cross lifted up upon the earth ?

Because thou , o Lord , has hope in me and comforted me ? So I say here our life must conform to His Word . It must , it must conform to His Word .

There are prophecies that speak of His destiny In Isaiah 11 , there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse and a branch shall grow out of his roots , and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him , the Spirit of wisdom and understanding , of counsel and might .

These are all prophetic of what was going to be upon this man , but all the other scriptures are the heart of that man Revealed unto us . He says in Isaiah 42 , behold my servant , whom I uphold . God is responding . I uphold my servant , mine elect . My soul delights in him . I have put my spirit upon him .

He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles and he shall not cry nor lift up or nor cause his voice to be heard in the street . Jesus was the fulfillment of this word . Thus said the Lord God , that he created the heavens and stretched them out , that he spread forth the earth which cometh out of it .

He that giveth breath unto the people upon it and spirit to them that walk therein . I , the Lord , have called thee in righteousness and I will hold thine hand and will keep thee and give thee for a covenant for the people . He's responding to that man's cry and giving him a promise of his word .

I will uphold thee , I will keep thee , I will not fail thee . You will be a covenant unto the people , a light unto the Gentiles To open the blind eyes , to bring out the prisoners from the prison and them that sit in the darkness . And isn't that the same scripture in Isaiah 61 , that Jesus himself read in the temple when he began his ministry ?

The Spirit of Lord God , is upon me , because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek . He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted , to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound . Is that not the words he spoke in the temple ? And he said this day it is fulfilled .

He's constantly fulfilling God's word , and he does it on purpose . He's willing to do that , to commit his life , to sacrifice his will , to do that which pleases the Lord . Consider , in Psalm 16 , verse 8 , that these are the cries of the man Jesus Christ . He said I have set the Lord always before me .

Because he is at my right hand , I shall not be moved . You think ? Well , that's just David . Therefore , my heart is glad and my glory rejoices . My flesh shall also rest in hope , for thou will not leave my soul in hell . Neither will thou suffer thine Holy One , to see corruption . Thou will show me the path of life . In thy presence is fullness of joy .

At thy right hand , there are pleasures forevermore . Poetically beautiful words of David . And if that's all we see , then we are seeing it carnally . For even Peter had the revelation . For he says on the day of Pentecost , in Acts 2 , verse 25 . He says hey , David spoke . Concerning this man , Jesus , who I am preaching to you of .

He said I foresaw the Lord always before my face . He's quoting Isaiah . He says for he is on my right hand and I shall not be moved , excuse me . He's quoting David in the Psalms . He says , therefore , did my heart rejoice and my tongue was glad . Moreover , also my flesh shall rest in hope , because thou will not leave my soul in hell .

Neither will thou suffer , thine Holy One , to see corruption . Thou hast made me known to me the ways of life . Thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance , and he stops . He says hey , david spoke of this , and we thought it was David . But men and brethren , he says let me tell you our patriarch David , he's dead .

How does that apply to him Because he's dead , he's buried , he's in that sepulcher , over there in the kings , with the rest of the kings .

Therefore , being a prophet , he says , and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him , that of the fruit of his loins , according to the prophet , he says , and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him , that of the fruit of his loins , according to the flesh , he would raise up Christ to sit on the throne .

That word was for Christ , that word was for that man , so that he would understand . Oh my God , you're calling me to this . Not my will , lord , but thine be done . So be it , because I have your word . You will raise me up , you will not let me see corruption , you will not let the enemy have the final say . Even Peter had the revelation .

The scriptures were open to him . It says he , seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ , that his soul was not left in hell . Neither did his flesh see corruption . This Jesus hath God raised up , whereof we are all witnesses . So what was his purpose here , he said ? In Matthew 26 , jesus said how , then , shall the scriptures be fulfilled ? That

thus it must be . In that same hour , said Jesus to the multitudes are you come out against a thief with swords and stays for you to take me ? I sat daily with you in the swords and stays for you to take me .

I sat daily with you in the temple and he laid hold , not upon me , but all this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled . It's all according to his word , and if you want to be contrary to His Word , then he's also got a word for that too . It says in Luke 24 , 27, .

When Jesus was speaking to His prophets , they described Him as and Jesus , from the beginning of Moses and through all the prophets , expounded unto them in all the scriptures , the things concerning Himself .

There are a whole lot of scriptures out there through the prophets that are actually concerning Christ , and I just read a bulk of them to you to give you the idea . Maybe it'll open up the crease of revelation for you to realize what you have at your fingertips if you receive the revelation .

And they said to one another , as they were walking through the Emmaus Road did not a heart burn within us while he talked with us ? By the way , while he opened unto us the scriptures , did not the man Jesus , through the other prophetic words he opened up my ears to hear .

He said in Luke 24 , these are the words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you , that all things must be fulfilled that were written in the law of Moses , in the prophets and in the Psalms . Concerning me , that was me he's saying that was about me , but it was also me speaking through them .

Paul said to the Corinthians I delivered unto you first of all , which I also received , how Christ died for our sins , according to the scriptures , and that he rose again on the third day , according to the scriptures . Consider Psalm 40 . Let this mind be in you . That was also in Christ . Jesus Then said I lo , I come in the volume of the book .

It is written of me . I delight to do thy will , oh my God , yea , thy law is within my heart . This is a glimpse of this man and how he loved the Lord . He delighted to do his will , even unto death .

I have preached righteousness in the congregation , lo , I have not refrained my lips , o Lord , thou knowest , I have not hid Thy righteousness within my heart . I declared it . I declared Thy faithfulness and Thy salvation . I have not concealed Thy loving kindness and Thy truth from the great congregation . Don't withhold from me Thy tender mercies , o Lord .

Let Thy loving kindness and Thy truth continually preserve me . If this man was capable of doing these things as a man , he was the son of man . He was the son of God . Does he not call us the son of man ? Did he not call Ezekiel ? He never called Ezekiel Ezekiel .

Every time he spoke to Ezekiel he said son of man , son of man , all throughout the chapter . Son of man , prophetic . Does he not call us they that are led by the Spirit are the sons of God ? He was the blueprint , the prototype . He blazed the trail that we are to follow if we conform our life according to his word .

And it is no easy , simple sacrifice . For he says if any man come to me and hate not his father and his mother and his wife and his children and his brothers and his sisters , yea , even his own life , he cannot be my disciple . He cannot . And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple .

So , likewise , whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath , he cannot be my disciple . Don't put aside those words . They carry great weight and gravity . You can't just say well , I'm just going to give you a part of this , but not , don't touch this . He's all or nothing .

Whether you like it or not , whether you think it's fair or not , he wants all of your heart and the man , Jesus Christ , was willing to give all of him for the service of his God . Which of you intended to build a tower ? Doesn't sit down first and counts the cost . You want to be a disciple of Christ ?

You want to call yourself a real and true Christian ? Count the cost , because it's going to take every ounce of your life , of your heart , of what's important to you . You have to be willing . Hear what I'm saying . You have to be willing to sacrifice it all in order to have Him .

It says in a parable or in a story that a man found a pearl of great price in a land and he put it back in the land and then he sold everything that he had so he can have that land , and by having that land , he then has the pearl of great price . You have to be willing to sell it all .

Abraham had a promise His son Isaac , and he had to be willing to sacrifice the promised son . And then he found out the Lord himself will provide the sacrifice , but he had to be willing . You must be willing to sacrifice what is so had to be willing .

You must be willing to sacrifice what is so important to you , to have what's more important than anything else in this life . That is the word of the Lord for today . Consider the words and let this mind be in you . That was also in the man , christ Jesus .
