Angela and Tony, carefree high school students in 1990 Los Angeles, are enjoying their happy and loving relationship together. One morning, Angela wakes up from a vivid and disturbing dream she can't quite understand. Later, Tony arrives at her house with a spontaneous idea: to gather their friends for a surprise road trip to visit a mutual friend in Las Vegas.
