Episode description

While completing the Western Bulldogs and Victoria University Graduate Certificate in Strength and Conditioning, Advanced Osteopath in Sports Management Tim McCormick met Exercise and Sports Physiotherapist Atilla Baranyay. A shared interest in rehabilitation, functional movement and strength and conditioning led to an engaging and insightful conversation.

In this episode, Tim and Atilla explore sprinting through a clinical lens - discussing its role in injury prevention, rehabilitation and building strength.

Atilla shares his approach to integrating sprinting into both rehab and performance settings, drawing on his deep understanding of biomechanics and performance rehabilitation. He explains how sprinting, when used purposefully, can support recovery, improve running efficiency and enhance whole-body function.

Whether you work in elite sport or private practice, this conversation offers useful perspectives on how sprinting can fit into your rehabilitation and conditioning toolkit.
