About Dr. Alan Glazier:
Dr. Glazier is the founder and visionary behind ODs on Facebook, the eye care industry's largest and most highly engaged eye care organization online OR off, with over 43,000 members. He is the founder of Shady Grove Eye and Vision Care in Rockville, Maryland. He is a partner and business development executive in Keplr Vision, enabling Optometrists with mature practices a medical model legacy exit. In 2011 and 2012 he was voted one of the most influential optometrists in US by the VisionMonday organization. In 2015 he was selected as one of the 50 most influential optometrists ever by peers and in 2016 he was selected as one of 250 innovators in Optometry by PCON Magazine. He was honored as Maryland Optometrist of the Year in 2017, as commencement speaker at the New England College of Optometry in 2019 and awarded a Presidential Medal by the college and in 2020 he was appointed to the board of trustees of the institution. Dr Glazier is Inventor on 7 issued patents in computer science and ophthalmology., lectures nationally and internationally on various clinical and practiced management topics, has authored two books and over 50 articles. He consults for many industry organizations and corporations.
