I'm back in Dubai and I'm staying in Dubai Creek Harbor, which as you know, or some of you will know, it's one of my favorite places in Dubai. I flew back to Dubai two weeks ago today. And I've just been busy with the new company out here. Also helping with my business partner back home with the finance company. And I just thought I'd give a little update into what I'm getting up to at the moment and the sort of stuff that's coming over the next few weeks.
Now some of you would have already seen the video I put out about pivoting the company that I set up here in Dubai. And I'm going to put it up here for you if you want to have a look at that now. Essentially I've come back to Dubai from London to sort out the company and start getting the wheels in motion. one of my first priorities is actually hiring a member of staff, and that's something that we're currently looking for now.
So I'm out here to work on the company that I set up here called Handlr Zone, and essentially Handlr Zone comes off the back of this channel really with the amount of requests that I had for ongoing support in relation to people trying to set up their companies and not really knowing where they can turn to, like what's a trustworthy place or whatever.
So I've set up Handlr Zone and essentially all it does is offer a really simple service to set up free zone businesses and residency visas here in Dubai. And on top of that there's going to be a range of support available to some of the clients. Now when I was back in London we've already set up a few clients out here in Dubai and we're getting a number of leads in long before we started advertising, just because of this channel really.
anyway, the company's there and the priority for me right now is hiring another member of staff to help me work on building that up and making the service really great for the clients and future clients that's going to come on board. In relation to the other stuff that I'll be doing here in Dubai, I mean I've already caught up with a few friends that I've met over the years, my friend flew in from the UK, she's a private jet pilot, another one who's now moved here, relocated, their whole family, so I've caught up with them and also some other people that I know in Dubai.
and what I'll be doing with this YouTube channel, is I've been getting a lot of requests and queries that have come up over the last year and a bit now, And so over the next I don't know, few weeks probably, I'm going to start putting out videos in relation to the most commonly asked questions that people are asking so that one, it can help me with diverting people who are asking the same sort of questions to this video so that they can find the information that
they need before they make a decision on whether or not it's right for them to set up their company in Dubai, It's going to cover off some of those misconceptions that people have, like a common one that just having the company set up in Dubai means they won't pay tax regardless of where they live in the world or whatever, which is not true. Because that's what they've been led to believe. So we're going to cover off some of that stuff.
I've got a list of 24 topics which keep coming up from people. And so I'm going to try and cover as many of them as I can, probably not do 24 videos, but We'll see how it goes. And for those of you who are not that interested specifically in Dubai, don't worry, it's not all going to be about Dubai.
After the most of the Dubai stuff is out the way, I'm going to start just pure entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship related, like more generalist stuff that's related to people who are looking at entrepreneurship and investing, particularly M&A. and also I'm potentially looking at doing some interviews with people and I'm not sure who I'm going to start with.
it's not going to be like massive names, but more of the people who are less well known or maybe not known at all, But they've excelled in their area of whatever it is they do. And if you might be interested in hearing about that, let me know in the comments, the types of people you're interested in, the types of topics you're interested in.
maybe is money, maybe it's investing, maybe it's like how to start businesses, general entrepreneurship, about marketing or whatever, because I know a wide range of people obtaining finance, all sorts of stuff. Tell me some things that you might be interested in.
I want to start reaching out to a few people and see if I can get, sit down conversation on the sofa with someone and really have, a deep dive into conversations with them about how they got to where they are today and the sort of opportunities that they took along the way or maybe missed. that perhaps you might have come across similar and not really exploring it to this full potential. so basically that's the sort of route I want to go down, with this channel at some point.
