Zuryna Livermore

Hey everyone, and welcome back to Baltimore County unfiltered, your go-to guide for everything happening in and around our slice of Maryland. I'm your host and your favorite marketing project manager, girly Zuryna. If you're looking for something to get into this weekend, I've got you covered. Let's start with something delicious.

Baltimore County Restaurant Week is still underway through the end of this weekend, July t. If you haven't made time for a good meal out, this is your sign to do just that. We're in challenging economic times, so what better way to treat yourself than with discounted meal options at your favorite restaurants? Who knows? This could be your chance to try something new or simply return to an old favorite. Personally. I always find myself back at Lib's Grill in Perry Hall.

Their crab tots are to die for, and they're on the restaurant week menu this year. So make sure you make your way over there. When you go take a picture and tag me in it. But beyond the dining scene, I've also been thinking a lot about the quiet institutions in our county that shape our everyday lives. For me, the one that comes to mind is the Baltimore County Public Library.

For those of you who don't know, I was born and raised in Houston, but spent a lot of my life here in Baltimore, and the Baltimore County Library was like a second home for me. I spent so many hours in the Parkville Library reading Gossip Girl and Super Fudge, and honestly, it became a place of creativity for me. It's truly been crucial as I've built my business and I love taking my daughter there. And now she has a love for the library.

Right now our library system is offering everything from cooking demos at the Woodlawn branch. To story times for families and even free vision exams for kids at select locations, which is perfect since school is about to start. So make your way over to your local library branch for more details. Honestly, the library is one of the last spaces that's truly open for everyone with no questions asked. It's honestly more than just checking out books.

We need to realize that the library is a community resource center. And speaking of which. I'm so honored to share that I'll be partnering with the Perry Hall branch to host an event called The Business of Influence and Content Creation. It'll be happening on July 24th from six 30 to 7:30 PM whether you're just starting to explore the content creator space or you're a small business owner trying to figure out how influencer marketing actually works. I would love to have you join me.

This workshop isn't gonna be about going viral. It's gonna be about how to be intentional and build community, all while using the DI Digital tools to tell meaningful stories. Now, the last piece of information that I wanna share with you is the final report and recommendations from the Baltimore County Redistricting Commission is available on the County Commission website. Now, if you refer back to a previous Baltimore County. Unfiltered episode.

I talked all about the redistricting issue and what this means for us, so I encourage you to go back and listen to that. But more than anything, I really want you to check out that new report and recommendations and ask questions. Talk to your county representatives because this is really gonna make a big impact for everyone involved. It's going to impact how resources are distributed, and you just wanna make sure your voice is heard.

Thank you so much for joining me for this week's episode of Baltimore County Unfiltered. This is really a passion project of mine, so thank you as always. And if you know of an event happening in Baltimore County, or you have a concern about something happening in your neighborhood, maybe you need a speed bump installed or a traffic light needs to be fixed, or you just have a community story that you wanna share.

Send me a message on Instagram at Operations Unfiltered or at Lady Z says, I'll include all of that in the episode description, but until next time, stay informed, stay connected, and as always, stay unfiltered.
