Episode description

On this episode of the Korean Gooners Show, Michael and Albert are joined by LAFC Tigers Supporters Group leader and Chelsea fan Sujin Lee. They begin the pod by talking about the protests going on after the death of George Floyd. As an exercise, the group spends 8:46 talking about potential reforms needed across the country in the wake of continued police brutality towards the black community. The 8:46 is significant because this was the amount of time George Floyd was on the ground begging for air before he passed away.

On Tavern Storytime, the group gets into how Sujin became a Chelsea fan and discuss the heated rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal. Some topics include most hated and admired players across both teams, Sujin's thoughts on Frank Lampard as manager, the youth movement at Chelsea, and the huge transfer rumors for Chelsea. Finally, on the Tavern Watchlist the group recommends a movie, TV show, and documentary to watch that will help listeners understand the current climate in our country better. We hope you enjoy the podcast and are staying safe and healthy.
