Episode description

In many sports there is a growing recognition that developing an athlete’s mental skills is one of the most high values ways to reach new performance heights. On this episode into the state of mental performance, David and Sam ask some of the big questions relating to this space: what is the relationship between mental health and mental performance? Whose responsibility is it? And what role do mobile apps and other technologies play in helping to develop mental skills?

Joining the show to discuss these areas is Dr Shawn Zeplin. Shawn is the Assistant Athletic director - Student Athlete Wellness at Duke University and is responsible for overseeing psychological services to the Duke University Athletic Department student athletes and staff.
