Episode description

In the blink of an eye, the volume and type of options available to the sports fan has exploded. The digital age has seen not only the battles for hearts and minds, but also eyeballs on screens, extend to other forms of entertainment, from live streaming to online gaming.

The digital age has also meant that it’s a lot easier for sport businesses, broadcasters and organisations to measure what their fans are consuming. But is increased viewership or clicks on websites actually telling us that’s the content that fan’s want? Or are they just simply taking what they’re given?

On this episode, host Sam Robertson is joined by Newscorp's Leigh Lavery and Western Bulldog's Tom Nickson to discuss some of the best ways to engage the contemporary sports fan.
