What has it been like getting acclimated to life in the NFL and getting to know your rookie class. I'm still getting acclimated, honestly, learned from all the Vets and the guys in the room, Pat Gentury, Radar, Um Jays, They've all taught me a lot. Coach Fredo has been really good at hands on and teaching us a lot of different things. And you know, really make sure you know he's on me because I'm the youngest in the room and uh, I had to learn everything and no

multiple positions. So I've honestly just been trying to soak everything in and um, the rookie class, I think all of us have gotten really close and we're still getting close to another and still finding out, um what everybody likes to do, what their interests are, and you know, their hobbies, you know. But I think we're mentioning really well, and you know, I'm I'm just glad and looking forward to continuing that. Does draft night feel like it was like years ago or does it feel like it just

happened that you got the call from coach Donalin? It feels like years ago, honestly, with all the installs and everything else. It feels like I just forgot about that. I'm just here to work and that was a really great moment, something that I'll never forget. Um, But it's time to get to work, and I'm forever thankful for the Sailor's organization trusting me and my abilities and hopefully, you know, I can show that on display here. Does everybody in the building treat you as Connor Hayward not

Cam's little brother? Is that something you feel like you kind of have to shake off? Everybody trust me as Connor? Um, Cam's a great leader, great player, Uh, and everybody knows that. But I'm my own man, and and they've treated me like I'm my own man, and I thank them for that. Obviously. I know the Hayward name has a lot of you know, pressure here, but the more pressure the better, and um, I'm used to that. But um, I think it's it's really cool to play with my brother and learn a

lot of things. And I played with my brother Corey before, but never Cameron because the age or the gap difference in our age. So he's Cameron to you, so we shouldn't call him Cam anymore. I call Cam Camera Camera, Cameron's more like what my mom calls him? Okay, what he's getting yelled at? Yeah she, I mean she doesn't yell at him anymore, but she would always say Cameron when we were young. She still says camera. They'll still to this day. Another one of his names is clamps.

Uh good hands, bad hands. What do you think I'll give him good hands? I still have better hands to him. But I mean he has two interceptions. I have no interceptions. Uh, I mean I play offense. But when when he had to make a play, He's made a lot of plays, you know, deflecting the ball. His hands are always on the ball, and uh, he's come down with two. I know he had the one against the Giants and then

one against Sheston Fields. This year he has said, you know, training camp, all bets are off, and I think it's fair for any rookies or young guys that come on the team. Do you think he's serious about that when it comes to you or is it all talk. I know he's not gonna, you know, take it easy on me, and I don't want him to take it easy on me. I don't want people to be like, oh, he's just taking easy on his brother. Um. But He's always been hard on me. All my all my siblings are hard

on me. My brothers, my sisters, my mom. They just expect so much for me, and I expect a lot from them, So I wouldn't want any other way. I know it's really early, but where do you think you fit in on this offense? Wherever the coaches want me to fit in? Um, you just got to be able to know your role and uh succeed at your role. UM. That's how you make a team, you know, and that's how you keep a job. I really don't care. I

obviously we want to be out there every play. But whatever my role is, I'm going to do the most with it and you know, make the most of my opportunities. Knowing you know O t A is mini camp that it's kind of a break before training camp. What's one thing you want to accomplish before you get to that point? Be in the best shape possible going to the year. Uh, that's something that the coaches can't coach, but they like

a player that's in shape. And the more in shape you are, the more you know you're gonna be out there and more opportunities will come your way.
