(upbeat music) I'm Danny Brown, and you're listening to One Minute Podcast Tips, the show that helps you be a better podcaster in just a minute a week. If you want more specific tips just for you in your podcast, check out the Magic Mic membership at oneminutepodcasttips.com/support. And now, this week's episode. When it comes to your podcast website, it's really up to you what you put on it. After all, it's your site, your show, and your decision what you want visitors to the site to do.

But whatever you do place on your website, there are three things that I recommend always having on there. The first one is a web player that makes it easy to listen to an episode anywhere on a website. So if you're on the website's homepage, you have a podcast player there. Obviously, if you're on individual post pages, you'd have a podcast player there as well.

The main thing is, no matter where visitors are on a website, you're making it easy for them to listen to your episode, whether that's a trailer to promote it, your latest episode, or a featured episode. The second thing is making it really easy to follow your show. After all, if you want your podcast to grow, you've got to make it easy for listeners to do that. So whether that's a sidebar or a call to action box on your homepage, have your most relevant follow options there.

So Apple Podcasts, Spotify, maybe Pocket Casts, Goodpods, etc. And then your RSS feed. That way listeners can either choose the apps you offer, or copy your RSS feed and add to their own preferred app. And the third one is a simple call to action. Now this can be either growing your newsletter list, it can be a leave a review, or it can be social proof.

So for example, on the One Minute Podcast Tips site, I have some Goodpods badges that shows One Minute Podcast Tip is the number one podcast in the tech charts. It's just a nice little way to show listeners that your podcast is worth listening to. So as mentioned, it's really up to you what you put on there, but these are the three that I'd always recommend. Until the next time, happy podcasting. (audience applauding) Thanks for listening.

If you enjoy One Minute Podcast Tips, be sure to share with your friends and other podcasters so they can enjoy it too. Until the next time, happy podcasting. (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
