(upbeat music) You're listening to One Minute Podcast Tips. I'm your host, Danny Brown, and each episode helps you be a better podcaster. Find all the latest episodes at oneminutepodcasttips.com or free, wherever you get podcasts. And now, this week's episode. A question I saw on a Facebook group the other day was one that I see online quite a bit, and that's how many ads should you have in your podcast episode?

And while there's no general rule on this, you don't want to overload your listeners with ads. So what I tend to do is make sure there's about 15 to 20 minutes between each ad. So if you've got an hour long episode, you probably have 3 to 4 ads in there. One might be your pre-roll, then 15 minutes later you'd have a mid-roll, then at 30 minutes another mid-roll, and at 45 minutes another mid-roll, and then a post-roll to close it out with your outro.

If your episode is shorter, you can play it by ear. But generally I think a good compromise is no more than one ad every 15 minutes. Until next time, happy podcasting.
