I've spoken before about the importance of having a trailer for your podcast. There are a few reasons, but the main one is it's one of the most effective ways of promoting your show to new listeners. However, it's only effective if it's relevant to where your show is now. Most podcasts go through some kind of evolution, whether that's a new format, frequency of publishing, or even new co-hosts since the show was first published.

This is why it's key to keep your podcast trailer up to date so potential listeners know exactly what to expect from your show. This can include a new trailer for each season if your podcast uses that format. The main thing is a trailer needs to have the most up to date information about your show. It's no good saying you can get new episodes every Friday if you change your publishing schedule to Tuesdays.

So take a look at the last time you updated your trailer and if the details are still relevant. If not, record a new one and replace the current one. Your new listeners will thank you. Until the next time, happy podcasting.
