Danny:A question I see asked a lot online is do you need to edit your podcast? Now, as someone who used to hate editing with a passion, and it's still not my favourite thing, my own personal opinion is, yes, you do need to edit. Now you don't have to make it a high production edit and add loads of bells and whistles on it, and I know there are some podcasters that do publish without editing, and it sounds great.
Danny:But for the most part, editing can make a huge difference to your podcast and as I mentioned, it doesn't have to be edited like a huge production. Simple editing, like removing noises, removing mouth clicks, removing heavy breathing, anything like that, or just empty spaces, it can make a huge difference to the listener experience. And at the end of the day, that's who matters our listeners. So, yes, I would always recommend editing.
Danny:You can use free software like GarageBand or Audacity, or you can use paid editors like Hindenburg Pro that I use, Logic Pro, Ableton Live and more. I'll leave links to some of these in the show notes, so be sure to check them out after the episode. So, yes, I recommend editing your episodes and giving your listeners a treat. Until the next time, happy podcasting.
Danny:Thanks for listening. If you're enjoying One Minute Podcast Tips, be sure to leave a five star rating or review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and help others find the show too. Until next time, happy podcasting.
